Creamfields festival ? a history
Since Creamfields festival attracted 25,000 people to Winchester for the August bank holiday of 1998, it has become widely known as the finale of the summer festival season in the UK.
And to coincide with its growth in size and stature, Creamfields festival has set up camp at various locations around the country, moving up north from Winchester to Cream?s spiritual home of Liverpool at the Old Liverpool Airfield for six years until 2005. In 2006, Creamfields festival relocated a few miles away to its current home of Daresbury, near Runcorn in Cheshire.
While the Cream club nights are known for mainly playing house, Creamfields festival hosts artists from a wide range of the most popular genres in dance since Creamfields festival began, attracting fans of styles such as drum ?n? bass, house including hard, deep, tribal and funky, as well as indie.
